I have been an active member in my department and university, often taking positions of leadership and positions requiring me to work with other students. I have done a 5 month semester abroad in Japan, where I was able to meet many other students from countries such as, but not limited to, Ukraine, Belgium, France, Germany, the Netherlands, and Malaysia. I actively help with club events and organization on campus, as well as helping clubs through their registration process. When it came to group work I often would spend most of the time helping the other students so that they could be prepared and to improve their presentation skills and confidence beforehand. I am someone who will put the whole over the individual and take on more work if it means the end product is better. However, in doing so I make sure to help those I am working with through my process and making sure it aligns with their vision so it can be a result we are both pleased with.
