  • Hired as a food runner for the new restaurant open in Dedham, MA.
  • Became a server in one year, and a trainer six months later.
  • As a server trainer, maintained a high level of knowledge for a menu with 120 draft beer options, 30 cocktails, and over 60 food items. Hosted regular food and beverage classes for new hires, and trained service, opening/closing duties, and Yard House culture.
  • Six months later promoted to Travel Trainer. Over the course of the next year, I helped with four new restaurant opens in three states, training serving teams and working closely with various restaurant managers and regional managers from both front of house and back of house.
  • Promoted to Restaurant Manager in February, 2013. Trained in the original Yard House location in Long Beach, CA - training included every position in both front and back of house.
  • In my time as a manager between two different locations (Boston, MA and Lynnfield, MA), I oversaw food runners, hosts, servers, and bar at various times. Ordered paper goods and uniforms. Handled cash outs and bank drops. Kept up with hiring and repairs and maintenance issues. Was responsible for the schedule of approximately 50 servers.
