The paraprofessional is expected to:

• Prepare instructional materials and assist in classroom set up and clean up
• Assist the teacher in providing and innovative, high quality education to diverse groups of students in
• Instruct students individually, in small groups, and in the classroom setting at large
• Responsible for carrying out behavior plans throughout the school day, and conferring with colleagues to ensure student success
• When needed, provide substitute coverage for teachers

As a one-to-one paraprofessional:

• Directly support assigned student and ensure their personal and health needs are met
• Maintain open communication with the classroom teacher and classroom paraprofessional, and student's family
  

• Serve and support a variety of populations of people living in group homes or assisted living facilities (including children/adolescents, people with developmental disabilities, those struggling with substance abuse addictions or serious mental illnesses, or with the elderly)
• Perform light housekeeping duties and administrative tasks, such as answering phones and completing paperwork
• Manage up to a six-person group home for clients with special needs (physical, emotional and mental)
• Perform care duties such as administering medications, assisting with physical therapy, providing personal care, and budgeting and shopping for clients (or helping them do so)

Responsible for overseeing the implementation of the literacy and math curriculum, completing lesson plans for second grade students, and ensuring that each scholar meets their academic goals.

The Head Teacher is expected to:

• Instruct children (ages 2.9 to 5) in activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth.
• Organize student work to highlight positive growth for their age/ability level
• Provides emotional support to students as needed, create plans, schedule social activities, and plan menus (as well as shop for and prepare meals)
• Maintain open lines of communication with parents and co-workers to ensure safety and growth of students.
• Take accurate and complete records required by law and company policy.

A Lead Teacher is expected to instruct children (up to age 5), design activities to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth appropriate for the age level, plan and supervise classroom projects, and manage and maintain daily schedules.
