  • Increased number of performance based ensembles from two to eight increasing the student involvement from 60 to 225. Created and developed curricula in a state-of-the-art midi lab which grew from zero students to 60. Was hired by the Suffield BOE whose specific goal was, “to create a successful musical theater program.” “The sign of an excellent school is the production of successful musicals.” Under this aegis I produced and was the musical director for five major productions. This involved the training of voices and the conducting of a 20 piece pit orchestra. Each musical involved 120 plus students, 25 staff members and 45 town volunteers in varying capacities. Created and directed a 60 member auditioned Suffield Concert Choir, created a 16 member a cappella select auditioned Chamber Ensemble, directed a Recorder Ensemble and created a Brass Ensemble. Developed and wrote curricula for the Midi Lab: Music Technology, Music Composition, Keyboard One and Keyboard Two. Developed and wrote curricula for Chamber Ensemble, Brass Ensemble and Guitar Class. Suffield High School teacher of the year 2005.

  • April 2004 Disney World Magic Tour As lead teacher, organized a choral and band trip of 70 students to perform at Disney World. A reinforcement and validation of our ensembles.
  • September 2002-June 2004 Gay Straight Alliance Faculty advisor for this much needed student run after school activity. It has blossomed into an active and diverse club and worked in concert with other area high schools.
  • 1991-1996 Pianist and Choral Director Worked independently with schools and churches. Adapted schedule to compliment employer and to teach piano, voice, woodwind and brass.
  • 1991-1996 Private Music Teacher Maintained a private studio of 30 music students teaching piano, voice, music theory and ear training.
