The past year I have worked under Dr. Helena Kuhn, seeing a variety of surgical, cosmetic, and general dermatology. I have accumulated many skills under her mentorship, including

• Obtained client medical history, medication information, symptoms, and allergies.
• Sanitized, restocked, and organized exam rooms and medical equipment.
• Kept medical supplies in sufficient stock by monitoring levels and submitting replenishment orders before depleted.
• Directed patients to exam rooms, fielded questions, and prepared for physician examinations.
• Assisted physicians with minor surgeries, including preparing operating room and sterilizing instruments.
• Performed medical records management, including filing, organizing and scanning documents.
• Answered telephone calls to offer office information, answer questions, and direct calls to staff.

In collaboration with multiple doctors at Kuchnir Dermatology, I have worked with SOCAi, an AI-based hair loss scanning application for clinical usage.

• Performed accurate quantitative analysis of targeted data research, collection and report preparation.

This semester I have worked in Dr. Shanta Dhar's nanomedicine lab. I work on the synthesis of drug-loaded polymeric nanoparticles with specific targeting for affected areas of the body. I assure the quality of these particles through size and charge analysis using DLS and drug loading using HPLC. I also perform synthesis of the polymer used for these nanoparticles, assuring it's purity with GPC and NMR analysis. I specifically worked with the compound Saracatinib, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor, which has shown therapeutic potential for triple negative breast cancer through mitochondrial targeting.

• Responsible for patient preparation including modalities, exercise equipment, monitoring, and application of heat, ice, and e-stim devices.
