Motivated Warehouse Associate with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Efficiently packed and organized high volumes of packages while ensuring workflow and supply availability. Committed to supporting team efforts through effective communication and collaboration.
Part of the job included packing all the orders that were on my work station. Each person had their own individual packages. If people did not have enough supplies in the work station, I would go and make sure to restock the shelves with the needed supplies. Amazon consists of a high volume of packages and work flow.
Apart of the summer I did lanscaping, mowing, and went around the whole housing authority maintaining the grounds. This consisted of making sure there was no extra trash or plastic on the grounds. When people would move out they would leave their belongings that they did not want. My job would consist of going to those vacant homes and making sure they were left fully clean. Painting the vacant homes and making sure they were also ready for the new move ins. In the winter we would have to shovel all the steps around the housings, and salt them down. This included finishing up work orders, and following up with them as well.
At manpower I was a warehouse associate that was mainly on the floor. I would be in charge of supplies, the pallets, and the maintenance of the floor. More of the job I would have to make sure that my co workers had their supplies, and I would make sure to resupply and help out my team. There I learned how to be cross' trained and was able to be transferred to the warehouse of soaps. I learned the process of how soaps are made, and making sure the machine produced high end quality products.
I returned back to UPS after leaving. There I learned how to load and return packages. The returns would come down from a chute, then we would organize it to the bins and designated trucks that ir corresponded to. As an associate we had to keep all the packages constantly organized to maintain a flow in the warehouse.
Part of being a warehouse associate for UPS I helped unload trucks. When extra work needed to be done they would also send me to load and sort out packages. Learning the operations of the facility was key for me as a warehouse associate because it helped me understand the behind the scenes of how the warehouse itself worked. This gave me the benefit of being able to help in different departments, and excel at them too.
