Gabriela Moreno

Boston

Summary

My Name is Gabriela Moreno and I am a first generation Salvadoran American Artist based in Boston. My Art is deeply connected to my identity, culture and experience. Growing up in Hyde Park, Boston, I rarely encountered art that I could relate to which fueled my desire to become the artist I was seeking. My art serves to empower and represent my community and advocate for our representation. Through my work I aim to celebrate our heritage and create spaces where the latino community can feel seen and valued. My work explores the relationships of color and incorporates the technicalities of composition and space. I aim to depict how I view the mundane world in a more captivating way.
