Haitam Laalilis

Haytam Laalilis was born on September 1st, 1995 in Ouarzazate, known as the "Hollywood of Africa." Growing up in a family of artists and writers, Haytam was exposed to the world of cinematography at a young age through his father, who was a novelist and poet. He was also influenced by his father's love for cinematography, as the two of them would watch films from different eras and discuss their favorite directors and cinematographers, including Alfred Hitchcock, Martin Scorsese, and Roger Deakins.

At the age of 17, Haytam began making his own films with friends, using the knowledge he had gained from his father. Despite facing financial and family problems, Haytam pursued his passion for film by attending film school for two years before dropping out. Despite this setback, he continued to work on various projects, such as video clips, short films, commercials, and even a documentary about traditional marriages in Zagoura.

Haytam's love for cinematography has driven him to constantly improve his skills and knowledge, as he continues to learn and experiment on his own. He has even participated in a small film festival in Rabat, where one of his short films as a cinematographer placed 20th. Haytam's passion for storytelling and his dedication to his craft have led him to create numerous projects that showcase his talent and creativity

I love composing music as it helps me to alleviate the stresses of daily life. Music is my solace and provides me with a sense of relief. It gives me hope that the world is not beyond redemption and that people still have the will to fight for what's important. Music has always been a loyal companion to me, and art is an essential part of my existence. It's everything to me.
