Well-rounded professional with a robust work ethic and strong interpersonal skills. Has work experience as a violin recitalist and as a barista, and has academic training in Economics from Harvard College. Strong intellectual interest in markets, with a primary fascination with prediction in the global context. Highly motivated to gain knowledge and skills through work experience in the finance sector.
As a classically-trained violinist, I provide entertainment for elderly people at nursing homes by preparing recital programs for them. I organize the contents of my recitals very deliberately, hoping to impart a certain experience to the listeners. Through these engagements, I have developed a certain level of comfort with public speaking. As my own manager, I have also learned some of the skills required to be an independent professional, such as the importance of cultivating and maintaining pleasant professional relationships, as well as the importance of outreach.
As a full-time employee at one of the busiest locations in greater Boston, I made drinks and assembled meals efficiently and accurately under continuous line pressure. In addition to serving customers directly, I prepared sandwiches and ready-to-eat pastries and salads. I routinely deep-cleaned the premises and maintained cleanliness standards, such as ensuring proper refrigeration and proper disposal of expired goods. I effectively managed conflicts between baristas and customers, as well as other confrontational situations that arise in food service work.
My boss, Michelle Morazzini:
"I thoroughly enjoyed my time with Henry and came to know him as a truly valuable asset to the team. He is incredibly hard working and always determined to learn."
