• Perform cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment.

manufacturer recommendations and facility standards.
• Confidently operate all sterilizers, washers, and equipment affiliated with sterile processing.
• Answer department phone calls with good customer service in place.

Proficiently operate all equipment necessary for the cleaning and sterilization of Surgical
instruments and equipment.
• Prepare supplies and equipment needed for patient care while following standards for labeling of
packages.
• Carefully examine medical instruments to detect any signs of leaks and worn or loose parts.
• Answers department phone calls and provide prompt and quality customer service to the OR
staff.
• Maintain prescribed inventory levels for each cart and document missing items from sets on the
count sheet.
• Maintain and expand on current knowledge of development in technical instruments
• Set up case carts for surgical procedures on a routine and emergency basis.
• Answer department phone calls promptly and provides the requested item as soon as possible

• Accurately document daily records of all QA and sterilization functions according to regulatory
agency and infection control standards.
• Used device manufacturer’s cleaning guidelines.
• Maintain adequate cleaning supplies as designated reprocessed endoscopes.
• Great knowledge of GYN, General, ENT, Vascular, and Orthopedic services.

• Maintain equipment in proper working order and manage inventory of supplies for daily
operations,
• Maintain working knowledge of department and industry standards for equipment, processing,
and protocols.
• Process of sterilization/preparing of instruments from unsterile to sterile
• Job duties included weekly rotation of decontamination, sterilization, and prep and pack.
