I am a small business owner and jewelry designer at my company Lush Metals which I established in 2000. For the past 25 years I have fabricated, marketed and sold my work at fine craft festivals, online, at boutiques, gallery and museum stores. My work has been featured in some of the country's finest craft exhibitions including the Smithsonian Museum Craft Show and the Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. I have loved my career as a professional craftsperson but am looking for a new direction in my life in the arts to alleviate the stresses and physical toll of business management and metalsmithing.
I am adept in small business management and client engagement. Over the years I have achieved significant sales growth through creative marketing strategies, client engagement and thoughtful customer service. I have strong problem solving abilities and a willingness to learn. Though I have never worked in an academic setting, I am ready to tackle new challenges and take on organizational goals with enthusiasm. As much of my career experience occurs in trade show settings, my experience in event planning, logistics, problem solving and client relationships is strong. I am an artist and art school graduate and am passionate about arts education and careers in the arts and crafts.
