  • I started as a teacher assistant and worked my way up to a lead teacher role.
  • I worked with all age ranges: infants, toddlers, preschool and Pre-K.
  • I worked alone in my own classroom, as well as co-taught with another teacher.
  • During this time I managed teacher assistants, teachers, 2 student teachers, as well as managed staff/classroom schedules.
  • I collaborated with teachers, staff, and administration to create curriculum, progress reports, relicensing, and achieve three time Accreditation from NAEYC (National Association of the Education of Young Children).
  • I also worked in collaboration with the public schools for children transitioning into kindergarten and those children who were in need of special education services.
  • While working at Melrose Daycare and Preschool I took 2 Leave of absences.
  • The first 1997-2000 was due to an injury and the second 2010-2016 was after the birth of my second child, staying at home until my third child was of preschool age.
