
As a self-directed, driven individual with ambition to excel in any environment, I feel that knowledge is the key to success. Therefore, there is no limitation to acquiring knowledge. · Greeting patients and visitors warmly and making sure they are comfortable.
· Calling for appointment reminder and confirming new intake appointments.
· Preparing intake paperwork packages
· Registering patients.
· Gather demographic and insurance information then verify insurance coverage for all patients.
· Provide necessary forms to patients for completion and signatures.
Ensure all registration fields are filled in completely.
· Using the computer system, generating fee slips for patients, reviewing information for accuracy and instructions.
· Collecting payments, insurance co-pays
· Hand prescriptions to patients or send them to pharmacies.
· Notify providers when patients are ready to be seen.
· Checking out and scheduling follow up appointments.
· Re-scheduling appointments.
· Answer phones and check phone messages.
· Route calls to specific people and to providers.
· Take and relay messages.
· Provide information and assistance as needed.
· Maintain a neat, tidy, clean and organized work areas, patients’ waiting area, and kitchen room.
· Coordinate mail flow in and out of office. ·
· Perform various duties such as Scanning, photocopying forms, reports and patient information, faxing forms and charts.
· Perform daily filing of charts and records to ensure excellent organization in patient records
· Work with Excel Epic EMR
· Update appointment calendars.
· Gather reports from referrals.
· Provide positive team support for all personnel and departments.
· Office closure.
· Prepare the patient waiting area and reception work area for closing each evening.
· Keeping Chart room organized and Patient’s Charts organized correctly by ID numbers and as alphabetical order.
· Provide training and assistance with newer receptionists.
· Identify areas where processes can be improved to provide outstanding patient care, increase quality, contain costs, and improve service.
· Report any problems or concerns to the Front Desk Manager.
· Adhere to professional expectations.
· Complies with facility Privacy Practices policies and procedures and protects residents' individual health information.
