  • Provide specialized care alongside the interdisciplinary care team in a level 3 NICU to assess and treat newborns suffering from complex medical issues including prematurity, extremely low birth weight, neonatal respiratory distress syndrome, hypoglycemia, infection, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE), jaundice, feeding immaturity, necrotizing enterocolitis and congenital birth defects
  • Monitor and support respiratory function for neonates requiring conventional mechanical ventilation, jet ventilation, oscillatory ventilation, CPAP, RAM cannula, as well as high flow and low flow nasal cannula
  • Provide continuous cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring along with management of central lines including UAC/UVPs, PALs and PICC lines as well as monitoring systems for kidney and brain perfusion utilizing NIRs technology
  • Work closely and collaboratively with patient's families to provide compassionate care and comprehensive education from birth until discharge
