  • Receives, analyzes, deciphers and takes actions on time critical Higher Headquarters (HHQ) alert orders and messages as it relates to air base defense, sabotage, acts of war, posturing of forces and natural disasters.
  • Operates and maintains classified communication systems, such as secure telephone encryption devices, secure internet protocol router (SIPRNET), voice over secure internet protocol (VOSIP), facsimile machines and telephone systems.
  • Serves as the liaison for drafting, executing and submitting Operational Reporting (OPREPs) and Commanders Critical Information Reports (CCIRs) rapidly communicating time-sensitive, often classified, operational, or logistical data to HHQ. These reports ensure senior leaders receive accurate information to make critical decisions during operations or crises.
  • Coordinates to report, track, and launch all preflight, post flight, mission movement utilizing Command Post systems. Disseminates Command Post message traffic to appropriate wing agencies to provide 24/7 command and control support for 2.5K personnel.
  • Analyzes and evaluates unit requirements and functions in support of the unit commander and staff as it relates to command and control under contingency and peacetime operations. Directs and implements actions in response to all HHQ operations orders (OPORD) and operations plans (OPLAN).
  • Assists with the management and control of facilities, equipment, and supplies. Assists in developing and executing physical, administrative, and communications security programs for the Command Post.
  • Facilitates upgrade training in accordance with Air Force Reserve Commands plans of instructions. Implementing training for individuals for both their 3 level and 5 level training courses, leading the individuals to upgrade from their current Apprentice status to Journeyman.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  • Serves as an alternate for the Readiness Reporting Manager, ensures personnel and units are prepared for deployment by tracking, training, medical, and equipment status. Assists in maintaining personnel security, readiness reporting and operational reporting spanning 17 agencies throughout Air Force Reserve Command.
  • Designated alternate to the Command Posts Equipment Custodian, safeguarding, tracking and maintaining $100,00 worth of equipment, vital to the daily operations of the Command Post. In conjunction with, leading the annual Equipment Custodian inspection, resulting in zero discrepancies annually.
