I was born in Abington, Massachusetts and have lived in the Boston area my whole life. My mother is a librarian and my father is an automotive journalist and TV host for NHRA on FOX. In my free time, I love spending time with friends, watching my favorite TV shows, and working on my project cars. I am at Emerson to pursue a career in automotive journalism, something I have been bent on since my early teen years.
My current employer is the Norwell branch of the chain, a place I have been for nearly two years, and I am a manager there. I am tasked with opening and closing duties, counting money, placing supply orders, preparing customer orders, managing deliveries, and sometimes even driving them myself.
This was my father's automotive website, which he founded in 2008. On the site, I wrote articles about news in the car industry, focusing on new vehicle debuts, rumors, and other miscellaneous things surrounding modern automobiles. I was offered an opportunity to write for the website and help with photography when I was 13 during COVID, and I continued to do so in varying amounts until my father sold his share of the site in November of 2024. This is what sparked my love for writing and automotive journalism, a career I am working toward here at Emerson.
I spent two years working in the merchandising department at the store, and eventually worked my way up to the head of the department, the position right below the actual manager. In this position, I oversaw my coworkers, assigned jobs, took care of deliveries, and sometimes helped with scheduling. I averaged 25 to 30 hours a week in this position, and I left because I had a better job offer at Papa Gino's.
