  • Provide comprehensive care for patients with a broad spectrum of kidney diseases, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, glomerular diseases, and electrolyte disorders, across inpatient and outpatient settings.
  • Manage critically ill patients requiring renal replacement therapies such as hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), including those in medical, surgical, and cardiac intensive care units.
  • Co-manage kidney transplant patients in collaboration with transplant nephrologists and surgeons, from pre-operative assessment through post-transplant follow-up.
  • Interpret and utilize diagnostic tests relevant to nephrology, including renal ultrasound, urinalysis, serum chemistries, blood gas analysis, and renal biopsy findings.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with physicians, nurses, social workers, and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes and care plans.
  • Educate and counsel patients and families regarding kidney disease, treatment options, and preventive strategies, with a focus on health promotion and disease prevention.
  • Engage in academic activities including journal clubs, clinical case conferences, and core didactic lectures to deepen knowledge in nephrology and prepare for board certification.
