My role as Assistant to Lead Engineer at Beeah in 2022 helped me realize my problem solving skills and enhanced my strategic planning skills. My leadership qualities were cultivated as I took on the role of starting up the 'Save the cigarette butts' campaign which still runs today. Through my brief time at Tufts university, I have acquired GIS mapping skills and basic C++ knowledge whilst also enhancing my already strong knowledge in Mechanics. I hope to continue extending the barrier of my knowledge with more work experience and more technical classes into my Mechanical Engineering Major
I focused on inputting key performance indicators into the operations database. Assisted the Project Manager on various day to day tasks on the site.
The remit of my work enabled me to visit all the factories and plants at the Sharjah location. I worked under a lead engineer and was able to gain an in-depth understanding of the day-to-day operations.
Part of the research process for my research project on Sustainability and provided great first hand information which I inputted into the presentation.
Learnt data migration from Legacy Systems. Assisted the FM manager in ensuring BMS was providing live data feedback. Testing mobile applications that would allow user access to the buildings functions in particular, their own smart offices. Shadowing the Project Manager and IT team, I was involved in the 'Deployment of Use' Cases for "Office of the Future." This new concept was to be delivered and implemented to the New Beeah HQ, which is the Smartest Building in the world.
Goumbook is a UAE sustainable NGO with the support of the Dubai municipality.
Working together with another student we introduced to our school a campaign called ‘Save the Cigarette Butts, Waste to Value’. We organised a beach clean-up initiatives raising awareness and community engagement of the big problem occurring in Dubai; most cigarette filters are 95% plastic and our beaches are filled with them. Just in one weekend, popular beaches like Kite beach in Dubai accumulates thousands of butts. 2 years worth of scheduling, immense planning and communication between different teams and departments within the Dubai municipality to allow access for our students to public beaches and the authority to conduct safe and effective cleanups.
