• Establish and sustain effective working relationships with partner ministry regional officials and other stakeholders, providing timely updates on Peace Corps and on-site activities and coordination efforts; opened a new region of Guelmim to PC - in 2018 after a series of negotiations and coordination at the national and regional levels.

• Coordinate/led program-related provincial events/activities with partners such as Volunteer-supervisor’s regional meetings and camps.

• Assist in the development and review of three Logical Project Frameworks (LPF) in conjunction with ministry partners, Peace Corps staff, and Volunteers.

Collaborate with the PM and other colleagues in the revision of site management materials and ensure quality implementation of the site management plan in my region

• Has provided coaching and accompaniment and monitored their work performance, cultural adaptation, and compliance with local norms and PC policies.•

• Managed 135+ Peace Corps volunteers over 14 years in the Marrakech-Safi region and Souss-Massa-Guelmim region; offering guidance and coaching for both personal and professional needs;

• Boosted a positive working relationship with volunteers through a strong communication strategy through regular check ins-site visits-regional zoom meetings.

• Oversaw 135+ health, small business, environment, and YD projects over the course of 14 years.


Initiatives:


• Developed a strategy to tackle the issue of counterparts dropout by the creation of a regional WhatsApp group for volunteers and counterparts where we share career and personal development opportunities and exchange programs and offer coaching and mentorship.

• Served as the coordinator of the Let Girls Learn initiative event in Marrakech 2016, represented Peace Corps at the US embassy, and advocated for 5 girls and 3 volunteers to attend a discussion meeting led by former First Lady Michell Obama on the power of education. 2 out of the 5 girls were invited and attended a following event in Washington DC.

• Served as the coordinator of the Project Design and Management workshop organized for volunteers and their counterparts, coordinated 5 PDM workshops.

• Served as a member of the Staff Advisory Committee for one term.

• Assisted in the establishment of the first women-run association in Aghbalou, Massa. The association aims at improving the living conditions of women and girls through the establishment of small business projects.

• Collaborated with local stakeholders and the Ministry of Social Development, Family, and Solidarity to create local small business projects. 1 out of 3 created small businesses received funding of 90000 dh from (INDH), the project employed 5 women with a monthly revenue of 1500 dh each a month over 12 years.

• Collaborated with representatives from the Ministry of Health to design and implement 3 community health workshops for volunteers and their counterparts.

• Assisted volunteers in the health sector in the organization and implementation of health awareness projects for mass audiences in the Gnaoua festival in collaboration with Morocco national health organizations and health ministry partners.
