• Provide explicit, systematic, evidence-based reading

instruction to all learners incorporating the five components

of literacy (phonological awareness, phonics, fluency,

vocabulary and comprehension)

• Engage all students in complex, grade level text through

read-alouds that foster vocabulary development, language

comprehension and knowledge of the world; review and

select material with an anti-bias lens

•Present all academic content using various engaging and

rigorous instructional strategies while differentiating

instruction for diverse learners

•Organize and use a variety of teaching techniques,

maximizing individual and group settings.

•Develop IEP goals and objectives for students with varied

needs in an inclusive setting

•Integrate technology into classroom and lesson plans,

supporting students through accessibility tools.

•Develop and maintain classroom environment conducive to

learning and appropriate for social and emotional

development of students

•Lead grade level team to review student data, identify

student needs, and plan and implement instructional groupings

•Partner with families to develop and strengthen the

home-school connection

•Lead and participate in professional development activities

to share expertise and enhance knowledge of best practice

and pedagogy
