I am an experienced researcher and professional with expertise in wheat breeding, genetics, and agriculture, currently working at ICARDA. I hold a PhD in plant biology and genomics, with a specialization in genetic variability and genome-wide association studies (GWAS) in bread wheat under drought conditions. My career spans six years of experience in bread wheat breeding, including generation advancement, field trial management, and crossing techniques. I have contributed to several publications focused on drought tolerance, grain yield, and resistance to pests. My work emphasizes improving wheat varieties for regions prone to drought and heat stresses, with particular focus on North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. I am proficient in statistical analysis and genomic prediction software, and I have served as a consultant for wheat breeding programs. Additionally, I am a member of the Wheat Initiative. These experiences make me a versatile contributor in both agricultural and data analysis projects.
