Summary

I started college as a film major, driven by my passion for storytelling and visual arts. I loved everything about film, from directing to cinematography. However, during my sophomore year, I stumbled upon a criminal justice course and was immediately captivated by the complexities of the legal system and the impact it has on society. That experience prompted me to switch my major to criminal justice. Now, as a criminal justice major, I'm thriving and deeply engaged in my studies. Yet, I haven't abandoned my love for film. I still pursue creative projects, produce short films, and stay active in the film club on campus. Balancing my passion for film with my new academic focus has been challenging but incredibly rewarding. I dream of one day combining these two worlds, perhaps through documentary filmmaking or crime reporting, to shed light on important issues within the criminal justice system.
