Approachable Hostess with extensive experience managing reservations and waitlists. Warmly greets and seats guests promptly to maintain workflows. Highly organized and committed to creating welcoming atmosphere.
I assist guests to their table, answer phone calls, process take-out orders, keep track of reservations and where we should be seating them before they arrive, set tables for the correct number of guests who would be sitting there, clean, sanitize manus after guests use them, and stuff any menus which may need to be stuffed.
I grew up in this business, it is my dad’s restaurant. While I worked there, I assisted guests to their table, served food and drinks, answered the phone, sanitized tables, and surfaces, and ran transactions. I also managed the restaurant three different times, 2 (6-month periods) and 1 (1-month period.) I was responsible for taking care of payroll, monthly food, and beverage taxes, ordering groceries and liquor, making large grocery trips to restaurant depot, as well and keeping track of inventory. At the time I managed the front of the house team of 15 employees and was in charge of hiring individuals as well as training them.
I did a lot of administrative work where I organized arrest files, emailed other police departments regarding techniques and tactics they used to better and strengthen our department, fulfilled patch requests, as well as audited police officer hours. I also mailed out any mail that needed to be sent out and helped create some information booklets for the new hires.
As mentioned, before I managed my dad’s restaurant or periods of time where I had to be in charge of the whole FOH & many other responsibilities. I also was JV field hockey team captain for 2 years and varsity field hockey team captain for 2 years. I also was the vice president of my student council for 4 years as well as the secretary where I wrote down and organized minutes during our monthly meetings with all of our grades combined.
